I have been out to La Perouse so many times and have shot so many images, I feel like i have enough material to work with for the next step which is working on the files and sending one off for a test print. The small test we did last week has given me a good guide on how to treat the files. This image is one of my favourites for the colour pics, and a good guide for how to treat my exhibition files.
Every day I marvel at the clouds, the sunrise and sunset. The colours are always changing and the depth of the sky is constantly breath taking.
This is a pic from yesterday afternoon whilst I was out shooting for my exhibition. I wasn’t thrilled with the pics I shot for the exhibition, too contrasty, but this shot was just one I took once the sun had dropped too low to shoot anymore and Harry and I were just enjoying the last light.
It was just an ordinary old Monday afternoon, and this is mother nature, reminding us all to take a breath and look upwards, and also inwards.

My little bestie always by my side when I’m out shooting for my exhibition, seems fitting to add her into the mix here.
This is her posing, of course, when we were recently out shooting.
I haven’t had a chance to go out this week yet since to work on my commission I have been busy with other work. This is a pic I took recently when i was out there. This is the style that I’m heading with my commission, but the commission is to be black and white. I have been also playing around with a little bit of faded colour for some of the images for my exhibition. I always enjoy using colour when and where I can… when it suits the image!
Often right now, I head out in the afternoon with Harry to work on my commission and now also an exhibition with all the rejects from these shoots.
I love this pic, makes me wish I could fly. The softness of the clouds in the background and the sharpness of the sun catching this lone seagull. Still not quite right for Ginni, but I’m loving the images and they are inspiring me to shoot more.
Beautiful clear sunny skies this time i went out to sunset at LaPerouse to work on my commission. The colours and silence were so peaceful and beautiful, but not really lending themselves to my cloudy skies brief…

My fascination with clouds is drawing me to constantly look upward. Below is a shot i took when out at La Perouse. These ever changing beauties are a constant reminder to me of the magic of nature.
Further more to the study of clouds, the weather here in Sydney has been so beautiful with
barely a cloud in the sky for so long, i have found it an interesting study of the perfect graduation
of blue throughout the day. In the mornings the blue is pale and as the sun rises it adds depth
to the blue. Photographically speaking it’s the most perfect background graduation.

So what’s the purpose of this post and overall my new posts?
The ideal is to keep you as the reader to keep coming back to my posts. So I plan to use this blog for my personal work and talk about this and also about my clients and working with them and with me!
My dog is a contact inspiration to me. She is my best friend and 99% of the time is with me when I’m shooting my personal work. Bearing that in mind, I decided to start off my new blog with one of my most recent and favourite pics of her.
