Recent Collaboration with Mac North
There's a unique kind of magic that happens when creatives come together with a shared vision. Recently I had the pleasure of collaborating with Embassy Creative for one of their client Mac North.
Mac North is a practioner of Extent Heritage and works largely on commercial projects. Located in the the old Valhalla building, a particularly pertinent location for such a profession.
I was commissioned to create a library of portraits for Mac to use for online and his website.
We did a location scout in preparation and on the day used many of the eclectic locations within and around the building.
The collaboration wasn't just about the creation of images but also a dialogue for Mac to use for his online presence. The building become the third element in the shoot.
It can be tempting to ask for your subject to always be smiling, however this is not Mac nor his profession.
So I held back and allowed Mac's natural personality become present.
Portraiture isn't about perfection - more about presence, allowing things to unfold in their own time.
I'm excited about these portraits and the collaboration.
If you're interested in some portraits of yourself or know someone who is, let's chat! I would love to bring life to your online presence.
